Required License Area: New York State Certification in Career and Technical Education, STEM or related field.

Licensed NYS Teacher. Understanding student Lexile levels, organized, efficient with paper work. A working knowledge of differentiation and MTSS Eligibility Requirements

● Required Qualifications: ○ Experience in teaching STEM or robotics-related subjects. ○ Strong knowledge of the Engineering Design Process and Project-Based Learning (PBL) methodologies.
○ Ability to manage and engage a group of up to 24 students in a hands-on learning environment.
● Preferred Qualifications:
○ Experience with FIRST Lego League or similar robotics programs.
○ Prior involvement in Work-Based Learning (WBL) initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities

● Facilitate the delivery of the robotics program curriculum, including mechanical, programming, and strategic skills development.
● Guide students through the Engineering Design Process within a PBL framework.
● Collaborate with Peer Mentors from the FIRST Robotics Competition team and SkillsUSA to support instruction and assist participants.
● Prepare and adapt curriculum materials in coordination with program leadership.
● Maintain attendance records, monitor student progress, and provide feedback.
Work Schedule
● Total Hours: 25 Hours per program session ● Schedule: Twice weekly, two-hour sessions over three - six-week sessions. (Session 1: December – January, Session 2: February – March, Session 3: May – June) 6.
Pay
Per session rates as per UFT Collective Bargaining Agreement (subject to funding availability)
The pay rate is dependent on the contractual designation and the relevant union or organization, as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
