Create interim assessments for a specific content area/grade for the entire department/school.
evidenced in Advanced (Measures of Teacher Practice)
Establish uniform expectations of student mastery across the grade/ content area
Increase preparation time for teachers to implement backward design.

Create baseline exam
Create one exam for November
Create one exam for January
Choose a full Regents Exam for April (Regents courses)
Create one exam for May (non-regents courses)
EXPECTATIONS:
Deliverable for each exam: (email to department lead, AP, and Ms. Russo)

Spreadsheet of question items with standards
Answer Key
Interim Assessment should mirror the format, type, rigor of the end of year exam (Regents, AP exam, LOTE, etc.)
Work-time (4 hours total of per session per EXAM created)
Work Schedule
2O HOURS: Ongoing throughout the year from 9/1/2026 – 6/30/26 (after and/or before school)
Pay
Per session rates as per UFT Collective Bargaining Agreement (subject to funding availability)
The pay rate is dependent on the contractual designation and the relevant union or organization, as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
