Selection Criteria
Priority will be given to applicants that fulfill the following criteria:
1. At least one year of successful teaching experience at the High School for Construction Trades, Engineering, and Architecture as evidenced in Advanced (Measures of Teacher Practice)
2. Excellent attendance and punctuality.
3. Excellent administration and organization skills.
4. Satisfactory experience in planning and writing Next Generation aligned Unit Plans
5. Satisfactory experience in implementing Next Generation Units and Lessons in the classroom
6. Training and familiarity with Next Generation Learning Standards
7. Commitment to work during agreed upon schedule
8. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Plan and write and revise Algebra II Aligned units and lesson plans.
2. Review, analyze, edit and/or develop instructional materials
3. Collaborate with grade/content level colleagues in developing and revising lessons/units
4. Meet with department leads and administrators to share and discuss curriculum units/lessons
5. Implement feedback provided by department leads and administration into units
Work Schedule
2 hours and 15 minutes per week 9/2026 – 6/2027 (after/before school, weekends) This per session activity must be performed in-person
Pay
Per session rates as per UFT Collective Bargaining Agreement (subject to funding availability)
The pay rate is dependent on the contractual designation and the relevant union or organization, as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
